indian women in the villages usually wear a sari, which is a long rectangle peice of cloth several yards long, which they wound around their waist and drape over their shoulders. young girls wear salwar kameez, which is like a long shirt with slits up the sides with trouser-type pants. they also wear a dupatta, a long rectangle peice of cloth that they use to cover their head and chest with. there is also the gharga-choli, which consists of an ankle-length, flowing skirt with lots of pleats. the top is a tight-fitting blouse that shows their midriff and accentuates their curves. they wear a dupatta with that as well.
